Courtney's Solitaire Engagement Ring

$0
This custom design was a very special project that I worked on. It’s been talked about for some time between my good friend Courtney & me. I love her dearly and I knew this diamond meant a lot to her.

The heirloom diamond belonged to her Great Aunt Mary. It was in her Great Aunt’s engagement ring. Mary then gave it to Courtney’s grandmother who turned it into a necklace & then it was given to Courtney’s mom and then it was eventually passed to Courtney. She wanted to make a ring with it to stack with her wedding band and another heirloom diamond band I designed for her.

She wanted to go with something that was classic with a little twist so we did a knife-edge band with delicate milgrain beading along the edge of the band.

The final design came out beautiful and perfect to stack with her other rings. I loved having Courtney be a part of creating the perfect design for her to honor her Great Aunt Mary’s diamond and it always reminds me how much I love repurposing antique diamonds that have so much meaning behind them.
